Hi there! I hope this blog finds you well. My hope is that it helps answer some of your questions about women’s health, infertility, and the steps you can take to better understand and support your body’s needs. Most of all, I hope it gives you space to laugh, to reflect, and to shed a few tears if you need to. Let your body completely feel what it needs to feel.
Before I begin to unload a ton of information… and that is no exaggeration, you may want to grab a pen and paper to jot down anything that feels important. Or, if you’re tech-savvy enough, feel free to take screenshots along the way. Now that that’s squared away, I want to start with a brief introduction about myself and why you might consider reading this blog or finding value in anything I share.
First and foremost, my name is Brittany. I’m 34 years old, I work full-time, and I live a fairly active lifestyle. I eat healthy… most of the time. That said, there are days when I happily splurge on iced coffee, Thai food, and dessert. Yes! If you couldn’t tell, I have a bit of a sweet tooth. It’s a daily struggle that I often choose to ignore.
My husband and I have four fur babies: Casper (dog), Daisy (dog), Houdini (cat), and Dice (cat). I married my best friend, my partner in crime, Ryan. We both work hard to provide for our fur babies, our families, and our home. A few years ago, we decided it was time to expand our family with little ones of our own. We have so much love to give.
To be honest, we thought growing our family would happen fairly quickly. I heard countless stories of women getting pregnant within just a few months. Who often were shocked by how fast it happened. Each time I heard those stories, my heart would fill with excitement. I truly believed that would be our story too. The thought of becoming a mom, and of Ryan becoming a father, filled my soul with joy and endless possibilities.
But that isn’t how our journey of having a family unfolded (and that’s okay).
As time passed, with each ticking of the clock, I learned that faith, love, support, and acceptance are essential. And if you’re still reading this, I believe there’s a reason you’re here too. I want you to know that you are not alone. Whether you’re walking through infertility like we are, or carrying an unspoken battle you’re trying to overcome. I hope your heart becomes filled with peace and unwavering happiness. And if not right now, then someday in the near future. Don’t give up.
In this blog, I’ll be organizing information into sections about our infertility journey, women’s health, and what you can do to address and support these challenges. My hope is that this becomes a safe place… somewhere you can feel whatever it is you need to feel.
I have just one request before you dive in: Take a deep breath.
No guilt allowed.
(You) and your body, inside and out… are perfect just the way you are.
“As long as there is breath, there is hope.”
